    PASCO — Two Connell residents, including a 9-year-old girl, were taken to the hospital this morning, July 21, following a crash on U.S. Highway 395. According to the Washington State Patrol, Consuelo Cardenas, 49, and her passenger, Agimar Cardenas, 9, were both injured in the 8 a.m. crash at Foster Wells Road.     PASCO — Democrat Ana Ruiz Ramirez Peralta has raised the most campaign contributions in her bid to fill the Franklin County District No. 2 commission seat. According to the state Public Disclosure Commission, Peralta has raised $15,198.73 and spent $7,710.75 in her bid to fill the seat being vacated by Commissioner Robert “Bob” Koch.     BASIN CITY - Fire crews were dispatched to Sagehill Northwest about 12:30 a.m. today for a reported fire. Crews arriving on scene found a large structure burning as well as multiple hay stacks, according to Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Officials said the hay continued to smolder this morning.     PASCO — A local woman was hospitalized Monday evening, July 20, after she crashed her car on Interstate 182. Emma Garcia-Chavez, 51, was eastbound on the interstate when her vehicle, a 2004 Nissan Sentra, left the roadway and struck an embankment at U.S. Highway 395, the Washington State Patrol reported. She was wearing a seatbelt and neither drugs nor alcohol are factors, the patrol said. Garcia-Chavez was cited for speed too fast for conditions, the patrol said.
