OTHELLO – A man wanted for alleged involvement in an assault and arson was taken into custody Monday afternoon, Aug. 24. According to Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner, Thomas Landon Hoover, born Feb. 29, 1978, was arrested by the Adams County Tactical Response Team in Othello around 1:30 p.m. Wagner said officials were still working on probable cause statements as The Journal print edition went to press, but expected charges of arson and assault to be filed, although he did not know to what degree.
