Lind Alumni Association reunion set for May 4

LIND — The annual Lind Alumni Association banquet will take place Saturday, May 4, in the Lind-Ritzville Middle School gymnasium, formerly Lind High School. This year, the organization is planning a 1 p.m. luncheon, rather than an evening dinner, organizers said.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m., photos of honored classes will be taken in the gymnasium of the school, 507 N. E St.

This year’s honored classes are:

• 60 years – Class of 1964

• 50 years – Class of 1974

• 40 years – Class of 1984

• 30 years – Class of 1994

• 20 years – Class of 2004.

The deadline to reserve a meal at the luncheon is April 15; there is a cost for the meal and dues for members.

All Lind High School graduates, and former students, teachers and staff and their guests are eligible to attend.

Tim Smith, a Class of 1982 graduate, will serve as emcee this year. And Barbara DeVore, from the Class of 1961, will over the invocation.

The Virginia Moorman Moore, Lind Alumni and Jackson David Weaver scholarships will be presented during the banquet to current graduating seniors.

Reid Weaver, of the Class of 1979, will announce the Jackson David Weaver Scholarship he established in memory of his son.
