Benton City woman injured, cited in Pasco crash

PASCO — A Benton City woman is facing charges in a three-vehicle crash in which she was injured Thursday, Nov. 17, on Interstate 182.

Helen L. Shuler, 57, was transported to a Richland hospital following the 7:06 a.m. crash near the 20th Avenue interchange in Pasco, the Washington State Patrol reported. She is facing a second-degree negligent driving charge.

The crash occurred when Shuler's eastbound 2017 Kia Forte rear-ended a 2013 Nissan Altima, driven by Karen M. Clary, 72, of Pasco, the patrol reported.

Clary's vehicle was pushed into a third vehicle, a 2008 Ford Focus driven by Karena M. Lilinoe, 22, of Pasco, the patrol said.

All three drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, the patrol reported.

Neither Clary nor Lilinoe was injured.

AE Towing of Pasco removed Shuler's vehicle from the scene; Casaday Beeline 1 towed Clary's vehicle.

Lilinoe's vehicle was drivable.
