Capt. Nelson retires after 40 years of service

New deputies Sirgio Rodriguez and Salvador Torres recently graduated from the Basica Law Enforcement Academy.

PASCO – The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is welcoming new deputies while also saying goodbye to a longtime employee.

Over the last week, the office announced that Alexis Marks, Sirgio Rodriguez and Salvador Torres have joined the county's law enforcement team.

Rodriguez and Torres recently graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy and are ready to begin local training, the Sheriff's Office reported. Marks will attend the law enforcement academy this fall and join the patrol ranks after she graduates.

Meanwhile, Capt. Ronelle Nelson has retired after 40 years of service.

"We are extremely grateful for Capt. Ronelle Nelson and all of her years of selfless service to our community," a Sheriff's Office social media post said.
