PASCO — Two men were taken to an area hospital this morning, May 25, following a crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Interstate 182.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Milomir Djuric, 53, of Kennewick, and Ernesto Martinez Gomez, 37, of Pasco, were injured in the 7 a.m. crash.

Both men were driving in the northbound interchange lane for eastbound I-182 when Djuric slowed and was struck from behind by Gomez, the patrol said.

Djuric was driving a 2001 Honda Accord and Gomez was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Venture, the patrol said.

Both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, the patrol said, noting neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Gomez was cited for following too close, the patrol said.
