Sheriff's Office seeks information in WIC hit-and-run

The Women, Infants and Children office in Basin City was struck by a vehicle overnight, Sept. 20-21.

BASIN CITY - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a hit-and-run incident in which a vehicle crashed through the front of a building overnight Sept. 20-21.

The crash occurred at the Women, Infants and Children building on Road 170, the Sheriff's Office reported.

"Sometime during the night or early morning, somebody drove through the front of the WIC office," the agency reported on its social media.

The crash damaged the front door, window and more, officials said. As a result, the clinic is now closed.

And anyone with information on the crash is asked to call teh Sheriff's Office at 509-54503501.
