Woman injured in Highway 395 crash

PASCO — A Prosser woman was hospitalized late Wednesday, Sept. 16, after her car overturned on U.S. Highway 395 north of the city.

Adela Valencia Mendoza, 37, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Mendoza was cited for second-degree negligent driving in the crash, the Washington State Patrol reported.

According to the patrol, Mendoza wasn't paying attention to driving when her southbound 1998 Honda Odyssey left the roadway and overturned near Milepost 27 at 10:58 p.m.

She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash; neither drugs nor alcohol were factors, the patrol said.

Damar Towing removed the vehicle from crash scene.
