Serving Franklin County, WA

Speed limits return to normal

HATTON — The state Department of Transportation is wrapping up improvements of more than 11 miles of southbound U.S. Highway 395 near the Franklin County line.

According to the agency, all the contract work is complete, with only a plan for bump repairs remaining between the county line and Lee Road in the southbound lanes.

Speed restrictions have been removed, allowing for traffic flow to resume at 70 mph, officials said.

This is only one area of U.S. 395 currently under construction, officials said.
