Troopers catch hit-and-run driver

ELTOPIA — A woman who tried to flee from a crash on foot was apprehended last Friday night, July 3.

Jamie S. Locke, 53, of Pasco, was arrested on multiple charges by the Washington State Patrol and booked into the Franklin County Jail for driving while under the influence of alcohol and DUI hit-and-run.

According to the patrol, Locke was eastbound on Sagemoor Road in a 2010 Ford F250 when she struck a westbound 2017 Ford Focus.

The Focus was driven by Erykah J. Skinner, 22, of Seattle, who was injured and transported to a Pasco hospital, the patrol said.

Meanwhile, Locke drove away from the scene of the 10:44 p.m. crash and turned onto northbound U.S. Highway 395, the patrol said. After a short time, she left her vehicle and fled on foot, but was apprehended nearby.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
