Two women injured in vehicle crash

ELTOPIA — Two women were injured in a one-vehicle crash late Wednesday night, Oct. 12, on U.S. Higwhay 395.

Tina M. Ohagan, 54, of Hayden, Idaho, and Tammy L. Byers, 49, of Spokane, were both transported to a Richland hospital, the Washington State Patrol reported.

There conditions were not available.

The crash occurred at 11:15 p.m. near Milepost 35, the patrol reported.

Ohagan was northbound on the highway when her 2021 Toyota left the roadway, the patrol reported, noting she over-corrected and the vehicle overturned.

Neither woman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the patrol reported. Neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to be factors in the crash.

The cause of the crash was improper lane travel, the patrol reported.

Damar Towing removed the vehicle from the crash scene.
