PASCO — A West Richland man is facing charges in an Aug. 15 crash on U.S. Highway 395 about 9 miles north of the Pasco.

Ismael Neponuceno-Sanchez, 24, of West Richland, is facing charges of second-degree negligent driving and operating a motor vehicle without ignition interlock, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Neponuceno-Sanchez was northbound at about 11:45 p.m. when he lost control of his 2011 Cadillac and struck a northbound 2001 Peterbilt truck driven by Guadalupe Enriquez Camacho, 41, of Richland, the patrol reported, noting the truck was towing a 1999 trailer.

Both Camacho and Neponuceno-Sanchez were wearing seatbelts, the patrol said.

Camacho was not injured, but Neponuceno-Sanchez was transported to a Richland hospital for treatment of injuries, the patrol said.

The cause of the crash was fatigue, the patrol reported.
