OTHELLO – An Othello teenager is being held on $1 million bail in connection with the shooting death of a local man.

Arturo Pineda-Feliciano, 16, is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, court records show, noting he may be tried as an adult.

Pineda-Feliciano is accused of shooting 50-year-old Felipe Garza of Othello on June 26 in the 2200 block of rural West Charla Road, records show. Garza was initially taken to a local hospital, then transported to a Spokane medical center where he died from his injuries.
