Sen. Cotton endorses Smiley

PASCO – A local "farm girl" running for a U.S. Senate seat here has received an endorsement from Arkansas.

Political newcomer Tiffany Smiley of Pasco is challenging Sen. Patty Murray in the race for one of Washington's two U.S. Senate seats.

Last week, Smiley received the endorsement of Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas.

Cotton completed combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Smiley's husband was wounded in Iraq.
