Two injured when motorcycle his car

BURBANK — Two people were injured Thursday, Aug. 19, when their motorcyle struck a car.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Randall S. Bliss, 57, of Sedro Wollley, and his passenger, Amanda L. Materie, 35, of Marysville, were transported to a Pasco hospital following the 2:40 p.m. crash on U.S. Highway 12.

Bliss was eastbound in the left lane of the highway on his 2007 Harley-Davidson when he sideswiped a 2014 Chevroley Cruze, driven by Jose Molina, 32, of Pasco, the patrol reported. The uninjured Molina was eastbound in the right lane.

Neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the crash, the patrol said.

Bliss was cited for improper lane change.
