Spokane woman injured in crash

PASCO — A Spokane woman was transported to a local hospital this morning, Thursday, July 1, after crashing her car on southbound U.S. Highway 395.
Trystin L. Jewell, 22, was transported from the scene of the crash at 5:32 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. Her condition was not immediately available.
Jewell was southbound in her 2005 Ford Taurus when the car left the road and struck a state Department of Transportation sign about 5 miles north of the city, the patrol reported.
The car came to rest in the median, the patrol reported.
Jewell was not wearing a seatbelt, and neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the crash, the patrol reported. She was cited for negligent driving and driving while license suspended.
