Pasco incident remains under investigation

PASCO — A false bomb threat at The Truss Co. prompted an evacuation of two businesses for about three hours June 1.

According to a police report, a manager at the 355 N. Commercial Ave. business called police to report a bomb threat received via voicemail.

Police, Fire Department and Hanford Patrol responded.

Truss Co. employees and workers at the adjacent Great Northwest Transport, 251 N. Commercial Ave., were evacuated to the nearby Kahlotus Korner Shell station, 120 Pasco-Kahlotus Road, police said.

Hanford Patrol brought in a explosives-detecting dog, but no bomb was found, police said, noting evacuated employees returned to work shortly after 11 a.m.

The bomb threat remains under investigation.
