Driver arrested after being stopped in stolen mini-van

Possible drugs recovered during traffic stop

ELTOPIA - A Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputy recovered a stolen vehicle today, Aug. 30, and arrested the driver.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Deputy Dodson pulled over a vehicle on Dogdwood Road.

During the traffic stop, the deputy learned the minivan was reported stolen out of pasco, the sheriff's office said.

A search of the vehicle turned up possible methamphetamine and fentanyl, a report said, noting the driver was arrested.

The name of the driver was not immediately released.

UPDATE: The Benton Franklin County Jail log shows Issac Michael Alvarez being booked at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 30 for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of methamphetamine.
