Brown leads race for judgeship

Petersen is second, 3% behind

PASCO — With more than 35,000 ballots counted in the initial tally tonight, Aug. 4, Sen. Sharon Brown looks like she’s headed to the general election in her bid for a Benton-Franklin Superior Court Position No. 1 judgeship.

The unofficial tally showed Brown with 22.93%, followed by David Petersen with 20.67%.

Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney Shawn P. Sant was a distant third with 19.1% in the first night of counting.

Behind him, Bronson J. Brown posted 16.46%, Shelley A. Ajax, 11.91%, and Talesha “Tali” Sams, 8.5%.
